CMB girls top GVC, Knoxville

ANKENY - The Collins-Maxwell-Baxter girls’ soccer team earned its second victory in a row with a 5-4 triumph over Grand View Christian Monday in Ankeny.

The Raider girls received a huge game from Tatum Tremain to improve to 5-6 on the season. Tremain was a dominant force offensively, scoring four of CMB goals.

Emily Coughenour netted the other CMB goal. Raider keepers Amanda Harrington and Hannah Robertson made two saves apiece in the win.

MAXWELL - Collins-Maxwell-Baxter ended a four-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over Knoxville May 11 in Maxwell.

The Raiders received goals from three different players, and keeper Amanda Harrington made five saves. Tatum Tremain and Karlie Maxwell each netted two goals and Caitlyn Bruntz found the back of the net once for CMB..

The victory put CMB at 4-6 on the season.
