Ballard girls lose two road games

ADEL - The Ballard girls’ soccer team suffered its fourth-consecutive loss with a 4-0 setback at Adel-Desoto-Minburn Friday in Adel.

The Bombers got off nine shots on goal, but couldn’t make any of them count, falling to 6-6 on the season.

Sydney Smith had four shots on goal and Cassie Smith and Steph Knittel each chipped in two for Ballard. Sydney Halverson also tallied a shot on goal for the Bombers.

Bomber keeper Sierra Knight made 16 saves on the night. Chelsea Bright, Allie Coo, Jessica Gard and Lisabelle LaFollete each scored a goal for ADM and Bright and Cook also chipped in one assist apiece.

BONDURANT - Ballard fell just a tad short on the road versus Bondurant-Farrar May 19, losing a 3-2 to battle to the Bluejays at Bondurant.

Steph Knittel and Sydney Smith each netted one goal for Ballard in the loss. Knittel and Cora Soash each added an assist.

The Bombers fell despite getting off 30 shots on goal. Rachel Watters fired off 12, Smith 10, Knittel five and Cassie Smith three.

Bomber keeper Sierra Knight made 16 saves.

Jessica Altman scored two goals and Emily Campbell netted one for Bondurant-Farrar. Erin Winders added an assist for the Bluejays.
