Multiple fire departments train in Elkhart

A fire training event/controlled burn was held in Elkhart on Saturday. The house, next to the post office on Main Street, was donated by Jet Investments, LLC for training purposes. The fire department has been using the house throughout the winter to conduct multiple trainings. The house was also used Saturday morning, before the burn, to conduct smoke training, simulated search-and-rescue training and small fire training. The April 21 fire training involved multiple departments: Saylor Township, Maxwell, Cambridge, Bondurant and Elkhart. Deery Brothers were also present to test a new high pressure hose. Ultra High Pressure fire units were on scene. See more photos on the Tri-County Times Facebook page.
