Prairie Meadows donates to Collins-Maxwell Band Program
Prairie Meadows recently awarded the Collins-Maxwell Band Program a Community Betterment Grant totaling $3,700. The grant will help fund new instruments and equipment. Prairie Meadows is a nonprofit business dedicated to lessening the burden of government by promoting economic development, jobs, agriculture and tourism in the state of Iowa.
“Collins-Maxwell Bands are so grateful to Prairie Meadows for continuing to support local school districts. The CM band students are excited for new instruments and upgraded equipment.” said Becky Pfeiler, director of instrumental music at Collins-Maxwell.
The Community Betterment Grant will improve the lives of people in Central Iowa by enabling the Collins-Maxwell Band to fund new instruments and equipment. The $3,700 grant will allow the Collins-Maxwell Band to replace old instruments and percussion equipment, as well as purchase new additions to better serve the students of the Band Program. The project is expected to be complete in September 2019.
“As a nonprofit organization, Prairie Meadows fulfills its mission by giving back to organizations that support arts and culture, education, economic development and human services. We are excited to see the impact this project will have on our Central Iowa community,” said Julie Stewart, Prairie Meadows’ director of community relations.
