Another 42 COVID-19 cases reported in Story County since last week; positivity rate at 0.9%

At 10 a.m Wednesday, the Iowa Department of Public Health was reporting an additional 42 confirmed COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in Story County since last week.

COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus.

The latest coronavirus numbers in Story County

The latest data as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, compared to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7:

  • Confirmed cases: 10,775, an increase of 42
  • Deaths: 48, no increase
  • Total tested: 171,876
  • Total recovered: 10,692
  • Countywide 14-day positivity rate:  0.9%

How many have received COVID-19 vaccinations within Story County?

All Iowans ages 12 or older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Those ages 12-16 can get the Pfizer shot.

  • Vaccine doses administered: 101,551
  • Individuals receiving first dose: 4,086
  • Individuals receiving second dose: 47,730*
  • Individuals who received single-dose series: 2,793

  • Individuals who have received full vaccination*: 1,509,729

* Individuals who have received their second dose of a two-dose vaccination are not included in the first dose numbers.
