Five new COVID-19 cases, no additional deaths reported in Story County

At 10 a.m Friday, the Iowa Department of Public Health was reporting an additional five confirmed COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in Story County.

The latest data as of 10 a.m. Friday, compared to 10 a.m. Thursday:

  • Confirmed cases: 10,686, an increase of five
  • Deaths: 48, no increase
  • Total tested: 168,099
  • Total recovered: 10,442
  • Countywide 14-day positivity rate: 3.3%

How many have received COVID-19 vaccinations within Story County?

All Iowans ages 12 or older are eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine. Those ages 12 to 15 can only get the Pfizer shot.

  • Vaccine doses administered: 92,833
  • Individuals receiving first dose: 7,598
  • Individuals receiving second dose: 41,867*
  • Individuals received single-dose series: 2,368
