People to Watch in 2021: Register seeks nominations for Iowans who are making a difference

The Des Moines Register will profile “15 People to Watch in 2021” during the last days of 2020 and the beginning of the new year.

Specifically, these will be Iowans who are expected to make a difference in their fields of endeavor in 2021.

We're looking for students or professionals who are working on groundbreaking projects, community volunteers who are doing inspiring work, or anyone else who is making a substantial, positive impact in our communities. They may even be young people whose extraordinary acts of service, kindness or even business savvy make you think, "Wow, this kid will go far."

They may thrive in or support the arts, business, civic activism, education, food, health care, law, nonelective government positions, nonprofits, public safety, clergy, sports or agriculture.

Nominating a person is easy. Just fill out the nominee submission form below or at DesMoinesRegister.com/People21 by noon on Monday, Nov. 30.

People to be profiled will be chosen by Register editors and reporters from reader and staff nominations.
