Slater Creamery

From the files of the Slater Area Historical Association, we have an aerial photo of the Slater Creamery buildings, about 1960. The Slater Creamery sold Vita-Gold Butter nationwide. Visit Heritage Hall Museum to view exhibits about the Creamery and the people who worked there, including the Slater Panorama, a scale model of Slater’s west side about 1955. SAHA also has a genealogy research station and files of family histories and obituaries dating back to before 1900. Heritage Hall Museum, 318 First Ave., is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursdays, or by appointment. Call 515-480-9789 or 515-228-3293.
