The Mercy College Scholarship Selection Committee has announced that Allen Jensen of Huxley, a student at Mercy College of Health Sciences, has received a $3,000 Academic Program Student Scholarship for the 2016-17 academic year. Funded with gifts from the General Scholarship Fund, these scholarships are awarded to students admitted to any academic program, as full- and part-time students, at any stage of their degree program and meeting the degree program admission GPA or progression GPA requirement.

The Mercy College Scholarship Selection Committee has announced that Megan Miller of Huxley, a student at Mercy College of Health Sciences, has received a$5,000 Sr. Mary Gervase Northup Scholarship. Funded solely by the Mercy Auxiliary of Central Iowa, this scholarship is available to students admitted full- or part-time to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program, who are able to demonstrate a grade point average of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale in the required prerequisite courses needed for admission, and have a demonstrated financial need. Students awarded the scholarship are eligible for automatic renewal for up to two additional years of study in the BSN program if they maintain a 3.0 GPA. Sr. M. Gervase Northup was the 15th director of the School of Nursing (1964-69).
