Summer is here and we’re busy at the library! Summer reading programs for the kids have started. They’re checking out new books, playing games and earning prizes. Mark your calendar for July 7. Dan Wardell from IPTV will be here! Join us in the Huxley Safe Room at 10 a.m. for all the fun.

Summer reading isn’t just for the kids. We have an Olympic-themed adult reading challenge too, with nine different events to enter as you read through the summer. Get more information at the library so you can enter the drawing for gold, silver and bronze prizes. High school students can enter this one too!

Shopping on Amazon.com? You can contribute to the library by checking out our wish list. Just search for Huxley Public Library under ‘lists’ and ‘find a list’ and add one of our selections to your order. It can be shipped directly to us. Thanks in advance for adopting a book or movie for us!

Need to use a computer? Check out the latest Consumer Reports, or another magazine? Need a good movie for the weekend? The kids definitely need to keep up on their reading skills over the summer, so stop into the library soon. We’ve got it all and we’re open 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Close at 5 p.m. on Friday, but open again Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
