Citywide sales

Drive through Elkhart and find your bargains on Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11, during the annual Elkhart Citywide Garage Sales. Suggested times are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturday; however, this is all voluntary so each sale may have different hours.

City Festival

Spend the entire day in Elkhart on Saturday, June 25 for the third annual Elkhart City Festival, sponsored by the hard-working volunteers of the Elkhart Community Betterment Committee.

The fun starts at 8 a.m. with a 5K FUN RUN/WALK starting at the Elkhart Veterans Memorial Community Center at 264 NW Garfield Ave.

Parade staging will begin at 9 a.m. at Faith Christian Fellowship at 186 S Grant Ave. At 10 a.m., the parade will travel north on Grant Ave to NW Main Street and end on NW Washington Avenue at NW Maple Street by city park.

Food and other vendors and fun activities will be set up all over the city park at 255 NW Washington Ave. Also, bring quarters to play Bingo inside the Elkhart Veterans Memorial Community Center at 264 NW Garfield Ave.

The Midwest Puller’s Association is sanctioning a multiple class Truck Pull on NW Railroad Avenue between NW Main Street and NW Elm Street, in the middle of downtown Elkhart. Open classes provide anyone the opportunity to join. Elkhart won the trophy for 2014 Pull of the Year.

Live music will close out the City Festival from 8:30 p.m.–1 a.m. at 364 NW Main St.

At 10 p.m., there will be fireworks.
