4/7: Officer responded to a report of a confrontation at the 100 block of Oak Blvd. between two neighbors. The confrontation was verbal and both neighbors were advised to avoid one another in the future.

4/8: Officer received a theft report at the 100 block of Centennial Drive. A business owner suspected that a stolen credit card had been used for payment to his business. After investigating the matter, the credit card used belongs to a resident of Smyrna, Del. A call to Delaware troop 3 financial crimes unit was placed and the investigation is ongoing.

4/10: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 69 near the Ballard Plaza. The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Albia man, was arrested for an .02 alcohol violation.

4/11: Officer was called to the high school to assist with an out-of-control student. The student was calmed to the point that high school administration could handle the situation.

4/13: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near Main and E. First Street. The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Ames man, was revoked from driving. He was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Story County Jail in Nevada.

4/14: Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident at the Ballard High School parking lot. A vehicle operated by a Huxley student struck a vehicle operated by another Huxley student, causing approximately $1,000 in damage.

4/18: Officer served a civil penalty to a resident at the 300 block of W. Third for habitual barking dog noise complaints.

4/20: Officer responded to an assault involving two juveniles at Fifth and Main Ave. A 14-year-old Huxley boy was referred to Juvenile Court for Simple Assault. Officer responded to the 500 block of E. First for a domestic altercation. The altercation was verbal and both parties agreed that they could cohabitate for the remainder of the night with no further problems.

4/21: Officer responded to a Fraud report at the 200 block of Oak Blvd. A Huxley man noticed several charges on his bank card that he had not made. The card was cancelled and the investigation is ongoing.

4/24: Officer responded to the 200 block of Oak Blvd. for a report of an altercation between roommates. Both roommates were involved with the altercation and declined charges. The two were separated for the night and will be looking for new living arrangements.

4/26: Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident at a parking lot located on Campus Drive. An Ames woman backed out of a parking spot, striking a vehicle operated by an Ankeny man. No injuries. Officer served an arrest warrant at the 500 block of E. First Street. A Huxley woman was transported to the Madrid Police Department, where she was turned over to Dallas County Authorities.

4/27: Officer responded to a domestic altercation at the 100 block of Oak Blvd. The altercation was verbal in nature and both parties agreed that they could cohabitate for the reminder of the night with no further problems.

4/29: Officer cited a Huxley man for a school bus stop-arm violation at the 100 block of Oak Blvd.

Huxley officers had five arrests for the month, one was for an .02 Violation, one for Driving While Revoked, one for assault, one for a city ordinance violation and one warrant served. Officers issued seventeen citations for the month and gave eighty-eight warnings. Officers received 169 calls for service and had a total of 412 contacts for the month. Officers used 253.75 hours toward investigation, providing service, or answering calls and gave 462.5 hours of general patrol.
