Jerry Hull and Kris Hull of Slater are the proud parents of Brett Hull. Brett graduated from basic training July 23 at Fort Leonardwood in Missouri. Brett was recognized at graduation ceremony for exceptional support of members of his platoon and for fostering camaraderie at every opportunity during Basic Combat Training Cycle 03-15, Class 033. As a contributing member of Charlie Company, 1-48th Infantry Regiment, he provided critical help and dedicated support to his fellow soldiers. His teambuilding skills and contributions serve as a sterling example for all and are in keeping with the finest military traditions. His distinctive accomplishments reflect great credit upon himself, Charlie Company,1-48th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Chemical Brigade and the United States Army.
Brett also attends Iowa State University and is currently pursuing a career in education. After graduation, Brett shipped out the next day to Fort Lee in Virginia, where he immediately began his AIT training as a paralegal in the Army National Guard. Brett will return home in 10 weeks and is taking the fall semester off from ISU to complete the training. His father said he is looking forward to his son coming home this fall and finally having time to hunt with dad.
