Key Cooperative awards matching grant to the Story County Fair Association

This past month, Key Cooperative was pleased to present the Story County Fair Association with a $10,000 matching grant to support renovations for the Community Building, located on the Story County Fairgrounds.

The funding comes from a partnership with CoBank’s Sharing Success matching grant program, a benefit of General Manager Jim Magnuson’s seat on the CoBank board of directors.

The Community Building is used for judging and as an exhibit hall for 4-H and FFA projects, serves as a meeting space for 4-H and Extension and is a venue open to the community for rental. The Community Building Committee kicked off its capital campaign in 2014, with the intent of reaching the fundraising goal by summer 2015.
