Texas govenor to take part in Judge Joseph Story Dinner
Texas governor, Rick Perry, will headline the Fourth Annual Judge Joseph Story Dinner at Prairie Moon Winery near Ames. The event is set for Monday, Aug. 11, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
“We are honored that Gov. Perry will be joining us for our annual Judge Joseph Story Dinner. Gov. Perry has been at the forefront of the national conversation about our current border security crisis, and he has been a strong champion of economic growth in his home state. We look forward to a successful event with Gov. Perry and our statewide Republican ticket,” said Dane Nealson, Story County Republican chair.
Other confirmed speakers for the event are U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernst, Iowa Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds, Iowa Auditor Mary Mosiman, Secretary Of State candidate Paul Pate, Iowa Treasurer candidate Sam Clovis, Iowa Attorney General candidate Adam Gregg and Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufman.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6 p.m.
Story County candidates will be providing dessert at the event. Candidates include Jeremy Davis, candidate for Senate District 23, Story County Supervisor Rick Sanders, candidate for County Recorder Stacie Herridge, candidate for County Attorney Steve Howell and County Treasurer Renee Twedt.
