Kim Voorhees joins United Way of Story County’s Staff
Kim Voorhees of Ames has been hired as the administrative assistant for United Way of Story County (UWSC). Voorhees began at UWSC on July 7.
As administrative assistant, Voorhees provides administrative and secretarial support and office coordination for UWSC. Major areas of responsibilities include office administration, office operations, board and committee support, campaign support, accounting and data entry support, community and partner agency relations, and project coordination.
“Kim has extensive background working as an administrative assistant in the nonprofit world, and comes to us with the skills needed to keep a small office running efficiently,” said Jean Kresse, president and CEO of UWSC. “She has the passion for the work we do at UWSC and will be a great asset to the team.”
Voorhees has worked for the Minnesota and North Dakota Teen Challenge and most recently served as office manager/assistant to the lead pastor at Evangel Assembly of God Church in Bismarck, N.D. She received her bachelor’s degree from Waldorf College in Forest City.
