It’s a Sesquicentennial year! Ames is 150! Along with the city of Ames, CMDT is celebrating with a very special Kids’ Co’Motion. Kids will be dancing, performing and building lifelong friendships while learning and creating about Ames’ 150 year history.

In Kids’ Co’Motion, kids exercise their minds, bodies and imaginations. Starting July 7 and going through July 25, students spend five days a week learning dance technique, composition, and then work together to build a unique dance performance. Kids learn choreography and also choreograph themselves. There is no other program like it.

This program is designed for children between ages 8-18, at all levels of dancing ability and experience. The first two weeks take place at the beautiful Betty Toman Studio/Theater in the Forker Building on the Iowa State University campus, then we move to the Ames City Auditorium, at 6th and Clark. The three-week intensive culminates with dance concerts at the Ames City Auditorium July 25-26.

A $200 registration fee includes everything (even a KCM t-shirt)! For more information and registration information, visit www.comotion.org or call 515-232-7374.
