Tai Chi Classes starting in September

Fall sessions for Tai Chi classes will be held at 8:15 a.m. for intermediates and 9 a.m. for beginners on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Sept. 1, at Heartland Senior Services, 205 S. Walnut Ave. in Ames. For more information, call 515-233-2906.

Jazz Jam

Heartland’s Jazz Jam will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, at Heartland Senior Services, 205 S. Walnut Ave. in Ames. If you are looking for a little swing and soul, stop on by. ISU/UNI Pre-Tail Gate Luncheon

Join us on Friday, Sept. 4, at 11:30 a.m., for the ISU/UNI Pre-Tail Gate Luncheon. Wear your favorite team shirt, guess the score of Saturday’s game and answer some trivia questions. Call Heartland Senior Services at 515-233-2906 to make your lunch reservation.

Monthly Dance

The Heartland Senior Services Spring Dance will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Moose Family Center, North U.S. Highway 69 and West 190th St. in Ames. Kenny Frette and the Country Classic Band will perform. Admission is $6 each and all are welcome. Sponsorship for the dance is provided by Bethany Life. For more information, call 515-233-2906.

Zumba Class

Ditch the workout and join the party! Zumba is a Latin-based group fitness class that combines amazing, irresistible and international music with dynamic, yet simple exercise moves! The five-week session runs Thursday, Sept. 17- Oct. 15, from 4:15-5:15 p.m., at Heartland Senior Services, 205 S. Walnut Ave., Ames. Cost is $27.50.
