CARLISLE - Ballard and Carlisle ended their girls’ soccer game in a rare tie Friday as the game finished 4-4 at Carlisle.

Brooke Loewe turned in an amazing offensive outing for the Bombers by scoring all four of her team’s goals. Sydney Halverson handed out two assists and Karlee Emerson dished out one for Ballard.

Bomber keeper Sierra Knight made seven saves for the Bombers, who went to 2-2-1 on the season.

HUXLEY - Ballard dropped a heartbreaker to No. 6 (Class 1A) Nevada April 15, losing a 3-2 battle at Huxley.

Ballard held slight 10-9 edge in shots on goal. But the Bombers couldn’t get over the top, falling to 2-2 on the season.

Sierra Knight made eight saves at keeper and Alexis Colman two for Ballard. Ellis Giles and Morgan Catron each netted an unassisted goal for the Bombers.

Amanda Fortmann, Madison Stevens and Mayzi Weig each scored a goal for Nevada on offense. Contessa Borwick, Kayla Dunson and J.J. Williamson each handed out an assist.

Erica Sporrer made five saves at keeper for the Cubs.
