Wednesday, May 14, was the final day of the Early Out Program at the Slater Public Library. The program provides a place for kids to continue learning and having fun with friends on the early-out days of school. Library staff organized a party and talent show for the last day. The early kindergarten through sixth-grade students wowed the crowd with singing, piano playing, magic and tumbling. The library is planning to kick off the summer program beginning June 5. The programs are free and will include books clubs, story times and special events and speakers. (Photo by Ann Krause, Slater Correspondent)
