Charlie’s Angels, Cystic Fibrosis Fundraising Team, was recognized and honored at the annual reception as part of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation — Iowa Chapter, as the top fundraising team in Iowa. This was the fourth year that the team won this honor. Charlie is the 5-year old daughter of Tim and Jenny Hugunin, of Norwalk. Tim graduated from Nevada High School and is the son of Lynn Marr-Moore and Mike Hugunin, all former Nevada residents. Charlie was born with cystic fibrosis, and the team raises money to pay for research for a cure. Over the past four years, they have raised over $106,000 through several events. Events include the Annual Breathing Life Into the Future Gala that will be held on April 6 this year at the Hotel Pattee in Perry; the annual Pushing Our Pedals for Charlie Family Bike Ride; the annual Lunch with Iowa State Football Coach Matt Campbell; Charlie’s Bike Night to be held at R Place Pub and Pizza on June 14, as well as several other events.
