n Residents are invited to a Community Breakfast hosted by Boy Scout Troop 128 at the Maxwell Area Community Center, 84 Main St., Maxwell. The breakfast will be Sunday, Nov. 18, from 7 to 10 a.m. A free-will offering will be taken. Donations will help scouts attend summer camp.
n Santa-N-Paws is BACK!! Maxwell EMS will be hosting this furry FUN event Saturday, Nov. 17, along with C Myers Photography at the Maxwell Fire Station. Bring all your four-legged friends, either on a leash or in a pet carrier, to the station from 9-11 a.m. Santa himself will be there and ready to pose with them for their Christmas portraits. Of course, all the family can sit in on the session as well. And of course, treats will be provided to little, or yes, even big pets.
For $15 you can get a digital file emailed to you; from there you make whatever prints, cards or Christmas creations you want to. This will be a fundraiser for Maxwell EMS, and they do want to give a huge thank-you Chris Myers, owner of C Myers Photography, for donating her time for this event — it is much appreciated. And of course, to Santa himself, this time of year we know how busy he is. If you have questions, please give Susie a call 515-480-7426. Submitted by Susan Livesay
