The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces the annual Halloween Prowl at the Saylorville Lake Visitor Center.

Activities will include a hike on the haunted nature trail, a Halloween movie showing, and an indoor craft. The trail will be haunted with creatures that have an environmental message to share. Wear a costume of your own if you like! Meet at the Visitor Center at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. For those who are not so fond of the dark, meet at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, for a pre-school version of the Prowl.

Preregistration is required; call the Visitor Center at 515-964-0672. The Saylorville Lake Visitor Center is located off Highway 415 on Horseshoe Road, seven miles north of Des Moines.
