‘Swedish Genealogy Research’
The February Genealogy Plus! program will be “Swedish Genealogy Research” by Paul Marstching. Paul will be presenting what a family researcher can expect to find with Swedish church records. Despite the handwriting and the language, extensive research is possible, with patience, and often it is possible to go back many years.
Iowa native Paul Martsching has been researching his family history since 1971. He began with using traditional methods of onsite visits, especially to the State Historical Building in Des Moines, and the Family History Center in Ames.
Genealogy Plus! is co-sponsored by Story County Genealogy Society and the Ames Public Library. The program is Wednesday, Feb. 21, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave., and is free and open to the public.
