Storytime Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 10:30 a.m. Scoot in and share a stack of great picture books with Miss Leslie! All ages are welcome.

Coffee Wednesdays: 10 a.m. - noon. Gather around the fireplace for a cup of hot coffee or hot tea and fun conversation.

Sit N Stitch: Thursdays, 6-8 p.m. Join the fun around the fireplace. Open to all knitters, crotchetiers, quilters, embroiderers - whatever you stitch!

All Iowa Reads: Wednesday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m. "The Year we Left Home" by Jean Thompson…an extended Iowa family struggles for emotional and economic stability over three decades. The purpose of All Iowa Reads is to encourage Iowans statewide to read and talk about a single title in the same year.

Movie Night: Thursday, Nov. 14, 6:15 p.m. "Monsters University" Take a trip back in time to when star Monsters, Inc. employees Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sulley" Sullivan were just two promising young students at Monsters University. Rated G, 104 minutes. You are welcome to bring pillows, blankets and snacks.

Monday Book Club: Monday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m. Don’t miss some great snacks and the chance to help pick the books for the upcoming year of reading!

Annual Rock and Mineral Sale: Nov. 20 and 21, 4-8 p.m. Know someone who wants a lump of coal in their Christmas stocking? Or want to put a sparkle in the eyes of that special person? If so, start your Christmas shopping early at the annual Polk City Community Library Rock and Mineral Sale. It will feature many minerals and crystals from around the world, as well as fossils from Iowa. A portion of the sales go to buy rock and mineral books for the library.

The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 - Happy Thanksgiving
