Bombers’ Wheeler wins 3,200

STORY CITY – The North Polk boys’ track team came up three points shy of a team championship and Ballard distance runner Noah Wheeler turned in a big day at the Norseman Relays April 25.

North Polk won four relays and picked up an individual gold medal. That helped the Comets total 107 points, putting them 30 points ahead of the next-best score and just two points shy of Roland-Story’s winning score of 109.

The Comets were victorious in the 4 X 800, shuttle hurdle, distance medley and 4 X 400 events.
