MAXWELL - The Collins-Maxwell boys’ soccer team came through with its second lopsided win in a row Monday after trouncing Grand View Christian, 11-1, at Maxwell.


Collins-Maxwell fired off a whopping 44 shots in the decisive victory. Carter Fricke and Josh Bruntz netted four goals apiece to help the Spartans improve their record to 6-7.


Fricke also dished out three assists and Bruntz handed out one. Cody Haugen had one goal and assist apiece, and Ryan Sabastiano and Peyton Johnston each found the net once for Collins-Maxwell.


Addison Swaab added an assist and keeper Brendyn Padget made one save.


MAXWELL - Collins-Maxwell received two goals from three different players an 8-0 drubbing of Panorama Friday at Maxwell.


Josh Bruntz had two goals and assists apiece, Carter Fricke put up two goals and one assist and Tate Ewing also scored twice, helping the Spartans go to 5-7 on the season.


Drake Ross and Ryan Sabastiano both netted one goal for Collins-Maxwell in the win. Cody Haugen and Peyton Johnson each handed out one assist and Brendyn Padget made nine saves at keeper.


DES MOINES - Collins-Maxwell couldn’t keep up with a powerful Des Moines Christian team on the road May 10, suffering a 9-1 setback at the hands of the Lions.


Carter Merryman delivered a goal off a penalty kick to account for the only Spartan score of the game. Will Hitchler and Ben Hofer each had one shot in a losing effort.


Collins-Maxwell keeper Brendyn Padget made 11 saves in a gutsy effort. Ben Webster tallied three goals and assists apiece and Curran Ingram also scored three times for Des Moines Christian.
