HUXLEY - North Polk dominated possession to earn a 4-0 victory over rival Ballard in boys’ soccer May 10 at Rich Strouse Field in Huxley.


The Comets compiled 19 shots during the game. North Polk keeper Christopher Martinez only had to make two saves, helping his team go to 6-1 on the season.


Jonas Sussenguth scored twice and Broc Hawkins put up one goal and two assists for North Polk in the win. Luis Sarceda added one goal and assist apiece and Dawson Murray chipped in an assist.


Ballard fell to 1-7. Bomber keeper Zach Zeller made 10 saves in a losing effort.
