Kyle Koenig poured in 31 points to guide Notre Dame to an 84-52 SEI Superconference South Division boys basketball win over Van Buren at Keosauqua Tuesday night.

Jett Tjaden scored 14 points for the Nikes and Gavin Kies added 11. 

Caleb Johnson led Van Buren with 15 points and Mason McDonough had 14. The Warriors' Jaedan Gerig added 10 more.

Notre Dame (1-2) hosts WACO Friday. Van Buren (2-2) plays WACO at Wayland on Tuesday.

Davenport North 79

Burlington 59

Burlington's Daxton Washington-Smothers recorded a double double, but Davenport North defeated the Grayhounds in a Mississippi Athletic Conference game at Carl Johannsen Gymnasium.

Washington-Smothers had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Brendon Hale added 12 points for BHS.

Now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the MAC, Burlington hosts Pleasant Valley on Friday.

Fort Madison 45

The Titans took a 27-15 halftime lead and coasted to victory over Fort Madison at Warsaw, Illinois.

West Hancock's Logan Dorethy led all scorers with 20 points. Drake Hammel had 12 and Riley Langford added 10. 

Fort Madison was paced by Kaleb Cresswell's 14 points and Treavor Kokjohn's 13.

Fort Madison (2-1) plays at Danville Tuesday.

New London 56, WACO 42

Isaac McSorley and Alex Dentlinger each scored 17 points and New London tripped WACO at Wayland.

Keontae Luckett added 12 points for the Tigers. Drew Kissell and Beau Beckler each scored nine points to lead WACO. Jacob Fried scored eight.

Danville 85, Cardinal 43

Max Wilcox scored 26 points and the Bears rolled by Cardinal at Eldon.

Taylor Kensett scored 16 points for Danville and Tristan Miller added 11. Grant Clark paced the Comets with 24 points.

Danville (3-2, 3-0 SEI South) hosts Central Lee Friday.

Iowa City Liberty 37

Jordan Magnani and Brady Sartorius combined for 43 points in a non-conference game at Mount Pleasant.

Magnani had a game-high 26 points and Sartorius added 17. Andre Brandon led Liberty with 16 points and Moses Bolar added 12.

Mount Pleasant (2-1) hosts Keokuk Friday.

W-MU 42, Columbus 33

The game was tied at 26-26 late in the third quarter, but the Wolves outlasted Columbus.

Winfield-Mount Union's Cody McCreight led all scorers with 18 points and Christian Gerot added 10. Tommy Pretz paced Columbus with 16 points.

Wapello 61, L-M 41

Four Indians reached double figures in a North Division win over Louisa-Muscatine.

Wapello's Trenton Massner led all scorers with 15 points. Keaton Mitchell had 14, Logan Belzer 11 and Gage Witte 10. Zack Bieri and Brandon Burmeister each scored eight for Louisa-Muscatine.

BPC 50, West Central 42

Bushnell-Praire City topped the Heat.

Brandon Annegers led West Central with 16 points and Ben Krigel added 11.

Monmouth-Roseville 44

Kennedy Gooding's 3-point play with one and a half seconds remaining lifted the Chargers to victory at Carthage, Illinois.

Gooding finished with a game-high 24 points. Illini West improved to 3-3 and Monmouth-Roseville slipped to 4-2.

Burlington 105

United Township 77

Josh Gulick, Matthew Rowland and Blake Wyrick each won two individual events to lead the Grayhounds to a dual meet victory at East Moline, Illinois.

Gulick won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.50 and the 100 butterfly in 59.83. Rowland won the 200 individual medley in 2:23.41 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.85. Wyrick won the 50 freestyle in 23.77 and the 100 freestyle in 53.04.

Burlington also won two relays. Kale Schuff, Rowland, Niles Siefken and Wyrick won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:48.44. Rowland, Siefken, Gulick and Wyrick won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:37.74.

Jacob Mohrfeld added second place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Schuff was second in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

United Township won the junior varsity meet, 95-67, with Burlington winning all three relays. Dalton Manley, Jordan Watznauer, Cal Linquist and Jamar Lewis won the 100 medley in 1:04.20. Cade Hillyer, Jacob Kamrath, Colby Geiger and Patrick Williams won the 100 freestyle relay in 56.18. Hillyer, Linquist, Nick Trimble and Will Godar won the 200 freestyle relay in 2:02.83. 

WRESTLING

Keokuk sweeps

double dual

Harlan Steffensmeier recorded two falls and led Keokuk to a sweep of a double dual at Keokuk.

The Chiefs beat Iowa City Liberty 60-16 an Mediapolis 57-18. Liberty topped Mediapolis 45-21.

Steffensmeier pinned Liberty's Ashton Barker in 54 seconds and Mediapolis's Caden Benz in 49 seconds in the 152-pound class. Fort Madison's Aaron Steffensmeier, Alex Lauber, Sam Hayes, Danen Settles, Elton Kruse, Dayne Cordray and Ryan Steffensmeier also had two wins each. The Bloodhounds' Chance Hocker pinned Liberty's Jacob Ganoe in 15 seconds.

Brennan Swafford had two victories by fall for Mediapolis, including a 10-second fall over Ganoe. He also pinned Hocker in 47 seconds.

Brennan Breuer, Jorden Riherd and Reese Thornburg also had two wins each for Mediapolis.
