ALLEMAN - The North Polk boys’ soccer team knocked off Prairie City-Monroe by a 4-0 score to snap a five-game losing streak Friday at Alleman.

The Comets received a hat-trick from Alec Boletta as he put up three goals. Colin Swygman netted the other North Polk goal and he also dished out one assist.

Noah Fields and Luke Hammond each added one assist for North Polk. Comet keeper Christopher Martinez only needed to make one save to preserve the shutout.

North Polk ended the regular season with a 4-10 record.

ALLEMAN - North Polk was overpowered by Winterset at home May 16, suffering a 7-1 setback at the hands of the Huskies.

Alec Boletta delivered an unassisted goal to account for North Polk’s only score. Comet keeper Christopher Martinez ended up with seven saves.

Mark Vrieze produced two goals and assists apiece and Gavin Nevshemal also scored twice for Winterset.
