HUXLEY - The Ballard boys’ soccer team earned its fourth victory in five games with a 1-0 triumph over Boone Monday in Huxley.


Wade Stocksleger accounted for the game’s only goal. Bomber keeper John Fulk made eight saves.


The victory put Ballard at 8-5.


HUXLEY - Ballard easily took down Nodaway Valley at home Friday, scoring a 9-1 victory at Rich Strouse Field.


The Bombers used tremendous balance to score the decisive victory. Eight different players scored during the contest.


Wade Stocksleger put up two goals for Ballard. Noah Beirman, Riley Fleener, Sam Foster, Calvin Jones, Dante Jones, Eli Rochleau and Ben Von Arb each scored once for Ballard.


Beirman and Clint Adams split time at keeper for Ballard. Beirman made four saves and Adams totaled five.


GRIMES - Ballard was unable to keep pace with Dallas Center-Grimes on the road May 6 as the Bombers suffered a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Mustangs.


Wade Stocksleger scored Ballard’s only goal of the game. Bomber keeper John Fulk made nine saves.
