ALLEMAN - Second-ranked (Class 1A) North Polk was too much for Collins-Maxwell-Baxter to handle in a Heart of Iowa Conference girls’ soccer match-up May 2 in Alleman as the Comets rolled to a 10-0 victory.


Courtney Bonewitz and Emily Larson each picked up a hat-trick with three goals apiece for North Polk. Bonewitz also handed out three assists and Larson dished out two.


Joy Smith added one goal and three assists, Danielle Bonewitz tallied one goal and two assists and Katryn Halterman and Cheyanne Chelsey each put up an unassisted goal for the Comets. Jalen Heintz and Riley Murphy chipped in one assist apiece.


Sawyer Elwell and Abby Hill split time at keeper for North Polk, with Hill making one save.


The victory put North Polk at 7-2. CMB dropped to 3-4.


Grace Mustaine made 17 saves in a valiant effort at keeper in a losing effort for the Raiders.
