HUXLEY - The Ballard girls’ soccer team made short work of South Tama Saturday at Rich Strouse Field in Huxley as the Bombers overpowered the Trojans by a 10-0 score.
Ballard got off 20 shots on goal and keeper Elizabeth Foster only needed to make one save. The victory evened the Bombers’ season record at 4-4.
Steph Knittel and Sydney Halverson did most of the damage on offense for Ballard. Knittel netted an impressive five goals and Halverson also picked up a hat-trick with three scores.
Alexis Colman and Olivia Dee chipped in one goal apiece for the Bombers. Cassie Smith and Erin Rochleau each handed out one assist.
