ALLEMAN - The North Polk boys’ soccer team ended a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over Oskaloosa Friday at Alleman.
The Comets got off six shots on goal on offense. Keeper Christopher Martinez made four saves and was helped by a steady North Polk defense.
Ian Triplett netted two goals for North Polk in the win. Colin Swygman and Luke McCoy finished with one goal and assist apiece, and Keegan Dorr also dished out an an assist.
Issac Parks scored the lone Oskaloosa goal off an assist by Jacob Kime. The victory put North Polk at 2-5 on the season.
WEBSTER CITY - North Polk failed to put together anything on offense against Webster City April 27 in Webster City as the Comets were blanked in a 1-0 heartbreaker.
North Polk only had four shots on goal in the loss. Colin Swygman had two and Luke McCoy and Kade McCullough finished with one apiece.
Keeper Christopher Martinez made three saves for North Polk. Jackson Moberly scored the Webster City goal off an assist from Dylan Peck.
