To the editor,
For over 60 years, The Arc of Story County has faithfully enriched the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. Not only does The Arc work diligently, advocating for those who often can’t advocate for themselves, but they make vital connections to other organizations who provide programming, employment, housing and additional support. Through a wide variety of regular and special events, The Arc brings joy and community to people with disabilities.
United Way of Story County provides much of the funding needed to sustain and expand The Arc’s services, like the Active Lifestyles Special Olympic program, Respite, Faith Fellowship, and Project SEARCH.
As you think of ways to help those with disabilities in our community, please consider giving generously to the United Way of Story County. With your support, this organization will continue to be a stable source of funding to help The Arc lead the way, achieving great things for those impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities.
