Raymond Dane Shaver, 79, of Wayland, Missouri, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

Born Oct. 13, 1937, in Unionville, Missouri, he was the son of Dane and Ivah Marie Scobee Shaver.

Mr. Shaver worked building bridges for Howard Construction in Sedalia, Missouri, for 22 years. He was a carpenter for two years.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and later served in the Air Force for four years.

Survivors include one son, Tom Barnhart of Wayland; three grandsons; one great-grandson; one brother, Ronnie Shaver of Hillsboro; three sisters, Mary Arnold and Karen Arnold, both of Texas and Donna Boyd of Wheatland, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his life partner, one brother and four sisters. 

There will be no services.

Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, Missouri, is assisting the family with arrangements.
