Stanley Dahl, 97, of Slater, passed away April 24, 2017 at the Madrid Home in Madrid. Funeral services were held Friday, April 28, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Slater. Burial was in Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Slater.
Stanley LaVerne Dahl was born November 14, 1919 to Andrew Ole and Mary Bertha (Houge) Dahl in Slater, Iowa. Stanley served in the U.S. Army during WWII serving in France and Germany. Stanley and Marjorie Ripkey on October 12, 1947. He worked as a cream hauler at the Slater Creamery and then as a custodian at the Ballard Jr. High School. Stanley attended Slater Baptist Church enjoyed camping, flowers, and working around his house and yard.
Stanley is survived by his son, Charles (Karla) Dahl of Huxley; two grandchildren, Joey and Andrea; his brother, Willis Dahl of Arizona; and his sister, Elaine Brown of Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjorie; his son, Roger Dahl; his granddaughter, Stacie Dahl; and seven brothers and sisters.
