The 2014 Republican Party precinct caucuses will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 7 p.m., at the locations listed below for each precinct.

The precinct caucuses will perform the following functions:

A.. Elect two persons, Republican residents of the precinct, to serve a two-year term on the Story County Republican Central Committee.

B. Elect delegates and alternate delegates to the Story County Republican Convention, which will be held on Saturday, March 8. The number of delegates to be elected at each caucus is listed below.

C. Propose and vote on platform planks to send on to the County Convention.

Voter registration forms will be available at the caucus sites to register, update your information or change your party affiliation.

If you are unsure about your precinct, you can look it up online at the Iowa Secretary of State website at www.sos.iowa.gov. Use the precinct information from the SOS website to find your caucus location on the table below. Please note that your caucus location may not be your regular polling location.

For same-day voter registration, you will need to prove your identity with some form of official photo ID. You will also need to prove that you are a resident of the precinct in which you wish to register, using acceptable proof of your address. The caucuses for the Tri-County coverage area will be held at the following locations:

Collins Twp/Collins - Nevada Baptist Church, 210 West 4th St., Nevada - 3 delegates

Huxley - Ballard Middle School, 509 N. Main St., Huxley - 12 delegates

Indian Creek Twp/Maxwell - Nevada Baptist Church, 210 West 4th St., Nevada - 5 delegates

Palestine Twp - Ballard Middle School, 509 N. Main St., Huxley - 4 delegates

Slater/Sheldahl - Ballard Middle School, 509 N. Main St., Huxley - 6 delegates

Union Twp/Cambridge - Ballard Middle School, 509 N. Main St., Huxley - 4 delegates

Washington Twp/Kelley - Bethesda Lutheran Church, 1517 Northwestern Ave, Ames - 4 delegates
