Katherine Scarlett of Nevada was named to the dean’s list at Clarke University for the spring 2014 semester. The list recognizes full-time Clarke students who have earned a 3.65 grade-point average or above, on a 4.0 scale, with a minimum of 12 graded hours.
Nevada resident Haley Lambert, a junior special education/elementary education major, was named to Oklahoma Baptist University’s president’s honor roll for the spring 2014 semester. Students who achieved a semester grade point average of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale are named to the president’s honor roll.
Hannah Wiltse, from Zearing, was named to Buena Vista University’s graduate and professional studies dean’s list for terms three and four. Students so named must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the two terms and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.
William Griffith of Nevada was awarded matching scholarships by the Vetter Equipment Co. of Nevada and the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association (I-NEDA). Griffith is currently attending Iowa State University. Established in 2008 to address the shortage of dealership personnel, the I-NEDA Matching Scholarship Program helps members attract and nurture local talent aspiring toward management, technical, sales or administrative positions within a dealership.
Teresa Zaffarano of Nevada, the daughter of Janice Seibel and Dario Zaffarano, graduated from Luther College on Sunday, May 25, with a major in art. Zaffarano was also named to the 2014 spring semester dean’s list at Luther.
Robert Blackburn from McCallsburg, KarrieAnne Burke of Nevada and Ashley Smith, Colo, have been named to Wartburg College’s 2014 winter/May term dean’s list. To be so named, students must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above in at least five course credits during the two terms.
Laura Stensland of Nevada has been named to the president’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Mercy College of Health Sciences. To so qualify, students must attain a GPA of 3.75 or higher for a minimum of six credit hours.
