So many things are popping up in Maxwell in October — the town has something going on every weekend!
This weekend, the Maxwell Firefighters will be delivering pizza orders from Casey’s in Maxwell and from Pal’s Fieldhouse, from 5-7 p.m., and they will also check your smoke detectors! This is for Fire Prevention Week, so call your orders in early, especially if you have little ones at home because it’s kinda cool to have the firefighters deliver your pizza!
So call your orders into Casey’s at 515-387-1164 and Pal’s at 515-387-1206, or even place them online. You will have to pay for your pizza orders and the firemen can collect the money for that — but if you are in need of a new smoke detector or batteries — those will be free, compliments of the Maxwell Fire Department.
The Maxwell First Presbyterian Church will be having its annual turkey dinner on Nov. 4, 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. for a free-will offering. They will have all the great tasting favorites: turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad and dessert, roll and a beverage. Carry-outs are available and if you are needing delivery of your meal(s), please call in advance to Karen, 515-387-8505, to schedule.
