Aug. 14: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Fourth near the West City limits. The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Cambridge woman, was suspended from driving. She was cited and released for Driving Under Suspension.


Aug. 22: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 210 near 570th. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old Des Moines man, was arrested for an .02 violation.


Aug. 28: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 210 near 570th. The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year-old Nevada man, was Barred from driving. He was arrested for Driving While Barred and transported to the Story County Jail.


Huxley officers had three arrests for the month, one was for Driving While License Suspended, one was for an alcohol .02 violation and another was for Driving While Barred. Officers received 16 calls for service, had a total of 34 contacts for the month and used 25.75 hours for investigations, or answering calls for service and gave 75.25 hours of general patrol.


One officer taught ALICE to students at East Elementary during Safety Week.
