5/8: Officer responded to the 600 block of Sycamore for a reported dog bite. An Alliant Energy employee was bit, causing bleeding and a trip to the clinic. The dog was up to date on shots and contact was made with Story County Animal Control.


5/9: Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on First near Sycamore. The vehicle fled the scene and led to a chase. Warrants for Eluding, Interference with Official Acts and Driving Under Suspension were filed for a 45-year-old Prairie City man.


5/17: Officer responded to a barking dog complaint at the 300 block of Main Street. A Cambridge woman was cited for the noise complaint.


5/28: Officer responded to a domestic altercation at the 600 block of First Street. A 40-year-old Cambridge man was arrested for Domestic Assault and Obstruction of Emergency Communications. He was transported to the Story County Jail in Nevada.


5/30: Officer responded to a theft report at the 400 block of Pearl Street. Two orange wheel chalks, valued at $72.50, were taken off of a work truck.


Huxley officers had five arrests for the month; one was for Eluding, another for Interference, one for Driving Under Suspension, one for Domestic Assault and one for Obstruction of Emergency Communications. Officers issued two citations for traffic offenses, gave nine warnings, had 18 calls for service and had a total of 62 contacts for the month. Officers used 26 hours toward investigations or answering calls for service and gave 86.5 hours of general patrol.
