Join us June 5, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Iowa State University’s Reiman Gardens in Ames for a fun evening of learning about bees! Youth and families will come to learn about the basics of beekeeping, the impact pollinators have on our environment and the production of honey. Hands-on activities will allow youth to experience what it is like for worker bees and how honey is produced and collected.

ISU Ag Specialist Zack Koopman will lead this program. Zack is a beekeeper from Ames and enjoys working with and teaching all ages about bees and how you can also enjoy the hobby of beekeeping.

We encourage families with youth in fifth grade and up to attend this program. Cost to attend will be $5. We kindly request you preregister. To do so, contact Katie Williams, Story County Extension at 515-382-6551 or kwillia@iastate.edu. We look forward to seeing you.
