3/2: After investigation of a theft and burglary at the 100 block of Water Street, several warrants were issued for the arrest of a 34-year-old Melbourne man and a 33-year-old Rhodes woman for theft and burglary.


3/22: Officer received a theft report at the 100 block of Sycamore. A front license plate was taken from the victim’s vehicle. The plate was later recovered in Blair, Neb.


3/24: Officer arrested a 31-year-old Cambridge man at the 400 block of Vine Street from Criminal Mischief 4th after he broke glass on a front door to a residence. He was transported to the Story County Jail in Nevada.


3/28: Officer responded to a burglary at the 300 block of Water Street. A business had been broken into by a person or people breaking a glass door and taking items from within. No suspects at time of report.


Huxley officers had 13 charges for Theft, Burglary, or Criminal Mischief for the month. Officers gave seven warnings for traffic violations, received 39 calls for service or information and had a total of 96 contacts for the month. Officers used 31.5 hours toward investigations or answering calls for service and gave 83.5 hours of general patrol.
