2/8: Officer responded to a burglary at the 100 block of Water Street. A residence was entered and several items were taken from within. Suspects have been developed and arrests for Burglary 3rd and forgery are likely.
2/16: Officer received a report at the 200 block of Water Street of a man who was operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent. The vehicle was returned. After officer arrival, a report for Criminal Mischief and Theft were made. Also found at the property was meth paraphernalia that was destroyed. Charges pending County Attorney approval.
2/20: Officer was asked to check the welfare of a juvenile female at the 500 block of Sycamore. Contact was made and the female was transported to the hospital for treatment.
2/20: Officer responded to a single vehicle accident at the 600 block of Race. A 22-year-old Cambridge man slid on icy roads and struck mailboxes, causing approximately $300 in total damage.
Huxley officers received 36 calls for service during the month. Officers also gave three warnings for traffic violations, used 33½ hours toward investigations, providing service or answering calls, and gave 56 hours of general patrol.
