Ankeny Christian Academy (ACA) senior Matthew Deo has been named a National Meritscholarship finalist. About 1.6 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools entered the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). To be a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship competition, a student must be in the top 1 percent of students in his home state The National Merit Scholarship has been awarded to the top academic students in our country since 1955. Today it is considered by many to be the top academic prize offered to high school students in the U.S. Matthew has attended ACA since preschool and is part of the largest graduating class in ACA’s history.
