Sawyer Elwell of Ankeny is the daughter of Sean and Manda Elwell and has two brothers, Clayton and Dennis.


Her favorite subjects are history and creative writing. She takes part in FFA, FCA, student council and soccer. Sawyer is president of FFA, secretary of the student council, is on the honor roll and has been chosen first team all-state for soccer.


Outside of school, she takes part her church’s Youth Group.


After graduation, Sawyer is planning to attend either Drake University or Arizona State University to study journalism and mass communication.


Jacob Wilcox is the son of Dave and Linda Wilcox of Alleman. He has one brother, Andrew.


Jacob’s favorite school subject is history, and he is involved in cross country, track, FCA and Quest Bible Study. He is a member of the National Spanish Honor Society, the honor roll and has been invited twice to give a short sermon by the National Fine Arts.


In the community, Jacob is a part of his church’s Youth Group and Student Leadership.


After graduation, he plans to become a missionary associate in Cairo, Egypt.


Luke Turczynski is the son of Scott Turczynski of Elkhart and Anita Turczynski of Ankeny. He has six siblings — Max and Ruth Turczynski; and Kara, Maria, Sam and Nick Gorham.


Luke’s favorite school subjects are band and computer classes, and he is involved in speech, drama and marching, pep, jazz and concert bands. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the honor roll, has received academic and band letters, was all-state improv and is an Eagle Scout.


Outside of school, Luke is a part of his church’s Youth Group on the group planning and leadership team, is a religious education teacher and is active in the Boy Scouts.


After graduation, he plans to attend Iowa State University in computer engineering.
