On Dec. 28, Story County Extension and Outreach held a 4-H Clothing Workshop. Participants made pajama pants, a T-shirt bag and learned about elements and principles of design. Youth learned how to create a pattern based on their own measurements, and got to put all of the pieces of the pattern together through a scavenger hunt activity.
Members can take their pants to the Story County Fair as a clothing and sewing project, as well as participate in the fashion review before fair. This is just one project area 4-H members are involved in. If you would like to learn more about opportunities available to youth through 4-H, call Story County Extension and Outreach at 515-382-6551.
