The Region 8 4-H Culinary Club met on Sunday, Sept. 17th at Christy Hall in Nevada. Following a business meeting, club members learned how to make fresh pesto during a presentation by club member Benjamin Rima. Kaitlyn Scheuermann, club leader, then presented sauce-making techniques. including how to make a basic white sauce that can be used to create many variations. Club members utilized the basic white sauce to make an Alfredo sauce. Members enjoyed trying the sauce over pasta.
