7/9: Officer received a hit-and-run complaint at the 100 block of South Water Street. A vehicle parked on the side of the road had been struck while the victim was on a family vacation. Damage to the vehicle included driver’s side door, front quarter and drivers’ side mirror.

7/13: Officer responded to the corner of Race and Second for a male who had been assaulted. Three Cambridge men were arrested for Serious Assault and transported to the Story County Jail in Nevada.

7/15: Officer responded to two vehicle burglaries at the intersection of 305th and 600th. Several items were taken from within two vehicles that were parked on the gravel road while the owners were at an outdoor party approximately 1 mile to the south. Officer responded to a burglary report at the 400 block of Main. A vehicle and camper parked outside of the residence had been entered, but it appeared as though no items were missing.

Huxley officers had three arrests for the month for Serious Assault, issued four citations for traffic offenses and gave 15 warnings. Officers received 21 calls for service and had a total of 86 contacts for the month. Officers used 19.75 hours toward investigations, answering calls or providing service and gave 82 hours of general patrol.
